Full Job Description

Experienced Medical Assistants/NCT's Wanted!

Growing Urgent Care seeking friendly, cheerful, and dedicated Medical Assistant/NCT!

NCT- X-ray required (Must by TMB registered)

Full-Time Positions Available in Midlothian, Mansfield, and Arlington, Grand Prairie, Waxahachie

Flexibility to float to other locations is required.

Schedule (Subject to Change):

Full-time rotating schedule (no accommodations available)
3 days per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM plus rotating weekends from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):

Greet patients warmly and professionally.
Answer phone calls and schedule appointments.
Register patients and update demographic and insurance information.
Scan documents (new patient info, ID, insurance cards) into the system.
Verify insurance eligibility for each visit.
Collect co-pays and record payments according to guidelines.
Explain fees and patient financial responsibilities.
Secure necessary signatures, informed consent, and insurance authorizations.
Balance daily cash, checks, and charge payments.
Ensure overall patient satisfaction.
Handle correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping tasks.

Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):

Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and reasons for visits.
Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
Explain treatment procedures to patients.
Follow prescription refill protocols.
Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
Arrange specialist and ER referrals as needed.
Record patient and lab charges for billing.
Explaining treatment procedures to patients.
Obtain specimens and perform lab tests, including blood draws and electrocardiograms.
Remove sutures, change dressings, and apply splints.
Educate patients on ongoing treatment plan as discussed with provider, including lab and x-ray results, diet, and exercise.

Education, Experience, and other Requirements:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
2+ years in a medical office
Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology
Previous experience in Urgent Care (Preferred)
NCT (Required) (Must be TMB registered)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
