Regular Baptist Church of Summerhill, located just outside Cortland, is a loving, Christ-centered congregation rooted in faith, family, and tradition. We are prayerfully seeking a pastor who is called by God to shepherd our country church and serve our surrounding community.
Position Overview
This is a part-time pastoral role for a servant leader who is passionate about preaching the Word, caring for people, and guiding a small church in spiritual and growth and outreach to .
Key Responsibilities
- Preach biblically sound, Spirit-led sermons during Sunday morning worship and other scheduled services
- Lead adult Sunday school following Sunday morning service
- Provide pastoral care, including hospital visitation, counseling, and member support
- Encourage and lead spiritual growth and discipleship within the congregation
- Collaborate with deacons and church leadership on vision, direction, and decision-making
- Promote outreach and evangelism within the local community
- Lead a midweek Bible study and prayer service
Qualifications
- A clear and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Strong commitment to the authority and teaching of Scripture
- Pastoral ministry experience preferred, but not required
- Seminary training is a plus
- A genuine calling and heart for small church and rural ministry
Compensation
This is a part-time position with a salary between $23,000-$26,000 annually. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process.
