Specific Onsite Phase Activities:
Project Document Control & Plan Review: Review plans, specifications, subcontract agreements, and related project documents to build understanding of scope, coordination requirements, and project intent. Assist with ongoing document control, ensuring current drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and related documents are properly maintained and accessible to the trade partners.
Submittals & Shop Drawings: Reviews submittals and shop drawings to ensure a working knowledge, communicates and coordinates with onsite trade partners as it relates to submittals and shop drawings and assists with ensuring that the field installations are in compliance with the approved submittals and shop drawings.
Material Delivery: Assist the Superintendent with scheduling deliveries, tracking deliveries, receiving and verification of deliveries onsite.
Quality Control & Field Coordination: Work closely with the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent to support quality control efforts. Assist with reviewing installed work and documentation to help ensure compliance with project requirements. Assist with performing first work inspections. Assists with documenting non-compliance and corrective actions. Assists the Superintendent with layout onsite and the verification of layout for trade partners.
Meetings & Team Coordination: Participate in weekly subcontractor coordination meetings, trade specific pre-installation meetings, coordination meetings, etc. Collaborate with project team members to support ongoing construction activities, resolution of action items, and information flow. Assists the Superintendent with documenting the weekly subcontractor meetings as needed.
Project Documentation & Reporting: Review and assist with preparing project documentation, including daily reports, photos, inspection records, quantity tracking, production tracking, RFIs, as-built updates, and related records. Support accurate and timely documentation to reflect project progress and field conditions.
Schedule Awareness & Support: Work to understand the chronological sequence of construction activities and how they impact the overall project schedule. Assist with schedule updates, coordination, and communication to applicable project stakeholders.
Safety Compliance: Understands the importance of safety and helps to promote a positive safety culture onsite.Assists the Superintendent with ensuring safety compliance, documenting noncompliance and follows up on corrective actions.
Logistics Coordination: Assists the Superintendent with logistics planning, coordination of logistics and onsite management of jobsite logistics.
Onsite Mock Ups: Assists the Superintendent with preparing for, scheduling, completing, and ensuring the accuracy of all field mockups.
Completion Lists: Assists the Superintendent with preparing completion lists for trades / areas, distributing the lists, following up / tracking completion and updating the lists.
Weekly Reports: Assist the Project Team with taking photos for the weekly reports, outlining key activities and assists with the preparation of the Weekly report.
Procore: Assists the project team with ensuring Procore is being used effectively, input data is correct, maximizes the use of Procore and provides regular quality control of Procore as it relates to the project.
Project Closeout: Assist with the project closeout process, including punch list completion, facilitating Owner trainings, etc.
General Project Support: Perform additional project-related duties as assigned in support of the project team.
Desired Qualifications of Project Engineer:
Education: Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or possessing comparable construction-related experience.
Travel: Available for potential travel
