Summary: The Outpatient Therapist provides clinical therapy/counseling interventions for children, adolescents, adults and families in-person and via telehealth. This role includes conducting initial intake/diagnostic assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based, trauma-informed care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for fulfilling all duties related to emergency preparedness, evacuation, and client safety, including support of individuals who may not be capable of self-preservation, in accordance with TN Voices Employee

Policies and TN State Department regulations and CARF Standards.
Clinical Service Delivery
-
Provide individual and family outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and adults as identified and clinically determined.

Provide evidence-based and evidence-informed treatment modalities.
-
Ensure treatment services conform to best-practice standard of care.

Maintain standard of ethics within the field
-
Ensure on-going scheduling based on level of care.
Assessment & Treatment Planning
-
Complete diagnostic interviews and other assessments to determine eligibility and level of care.

Develop strengths-based Therapeutic Treatment Plans for children, adolescents, adults, and families.
-
Complete evidence-based measures and track therapeutic progress.

Create and update treatment plans within the EHR following agency policy.
Collaboration & Care Coordination
-
Collaborate with community-based referral sources and TNV programs to ensure wraparound support.
Training & Licensure
-
Maintain licensure continuing education units are obtained within the state of TN licensure expectations.

Obtain associate license or full licensure when eligible
Documentation & Compliance
-
Clinically document progress notes for all therapy sessions in agency EHR.

Complete discharge plan and summary.
-
Provide treatment summaries and other documentation as requested.

Ensure Agency and Outpatient consent forms are completed.

Ensure legal documents are on file as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling, therapy, social work, or closely related clinical field.
- License preferred; license-eligible required.
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience.
- Experience in child and family serving systems and non-profit organizations preferred.
- Non-profit organization experience and work history within child serving systems preferred

Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance required.

Understanding of developmental, emotional, relational, and social needs of children.

Experience supporting children, adolescents, adults and families with mental health and behavioral challenges.

Knowledge of trauma-informed care for children, adolescents, and adults (including grief and loss).

Performance Evaluation: Employees are evaluated on an annual basis. Performance Reviews are completed electronically by the employee’s direct supervisor then reviewed and approved by regional or program leadership. Employees are given the opportunity to review their performance evaluation with their supervisor and will be required to acknowledge receipt of the annual review electronically.
