About the Role
Navancio is seeking a Cloud Specialist I with hands-on experience in AWS GovCloud and secure federal cloud environments. This role will support cloud operations, monitoring, patching, system availability, security compliance, backups, and platform support for a federal Tyler Technologies / Entellitrak-based application.
The ideal candidate has practical AWS administration experience, understands secure cloud operations, and can support application environments across production, test, training, integration, and development zones.
Responsibilities
· Monitor, administer, and support AWS GovCloud / federal cloud environments using the AWS Management Console and related tools.
· Support production, test, training, integration, and development environments for a mission-critical application.
· Assist with cloud infrastructure operations, including compute, storage, database, networking, IAM, logging, monitoring, backup, and recovery activities.
· Coordinate patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance activities with the development, database, QA, and cybersecurity teams.
· Support availability, performance, incident response, and troubleshooting for application and infrastructure issues.
· Maintain cloud environment documentation, operating procedures, diagrams, and technical notes.
· Support ACAS/Nessus, STIG, Fortify, and other cybersecurity-related findings as applicable to cloud and platform operations.
· Help ensure backups and system data are protected, encrypted, recoverable, and aligned with federal security expectations.
· Participate in release support, change management, and occasional after-hours maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
· 1–3 years of experience supporting AWS cloud environments.
· Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud or federal cloud environments.
· Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Systems Manager, and related services.
· Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server administration.
· Understanding of cloud monitoring, logging, backup, patching, and vulnerability remediation practices.
· Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team during Eastern Time core business hours.
· CompTIA Security+ required or ability to obtain prior to performance of backend support work.
· U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.
· Ability to complete federal onboarding requirements, which may include background investigation, fingerprinting, and obtaining/maintaining a DoD Common Access Card (CAC), if required.
Preferred Qualifications
· AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS SysOps Administrator Associate, or similar certification.
· Experience with DoD CloudOne, Platform One, DISA STIGs, RMF, ACAS/Nessus, Fortify, or federal cybersecurity compliance.
· Experience supporting Tyler Technologies / Entellitrak or other Java-based enterprise applications.
· Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, Git, or CI/CD tooling.

U.S. citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements. Selected candidates may be required to complete federal onboarding requirements, including background investigation, fingerprinting, annual cybersecurity training, a non-disclosure agreement, and obtaining/maintaining a DoD Common Access Card (CAC), as applicable.
