Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) who views nursing as a calling to serve children in state custody. This role provides clinical care, medical intake, and leadership for a vulnerable pediatric population, ensuring each child is treated with dignity, safety, and compassion. The RN reports to the Director of Nursing and oversees LPNs and caregivers while maintaining compliance with state standards. Grounded in faith and service, this position offers the opportunity to bring healing, stability, and hope to children who need consistent, trauma-informed care in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Director of Nursing (DON)Are you a nurse who believes healthcare can change a child’s life? We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve children in state custody; many of whom have experienced trauma and instability. This role is an opportunity to bring safety, dignity, and healing to children who need it most.As an RN on our team, you will be a trusted clinical leader and advocate, ensuring that every child receives thoughtful, consistent, and high-quality care in a supportive environment.What You’ll Do

Complete medical intakes and health assessments for children entering care
Develop and oversee individualized care plans focused on safety and well-being
Provide clinical supervision and guidance to LPNs and caregivers, fostering teamwork and accountability
Administer medications and treatments with care and attention to detail
Maintain clear, accurate medical documentation
Partner closely with the Director of Nursing, case managers, and community providers
Uphold state regulations, agency policies, and best practices in pediatric care
Serve as a calm, steady presence during medical concerns or emergencies

Who You Are (Requirements):

A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Mississippi (min of 3 years experience required)
Experienced in nursing practice (pediatric, residential, behavioral health, or trauma-informed care preferred)
A natural leader who supports and mentors others with empathy
Organized, observant, and confident in clinical decision-making
Passionate about working with children who need advocacy and stability
CPR/BLS certified
CPI certified or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire
Able to meet background and clearance requirements
Able to pass a drug screening
