POSITION SUMMARY:
The CMM Programmer is responsible for writing CMM programs for various parts and gauging. In addition CMM the programmer oversees the quality lab. Other related tasks as assigned by management.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program and operate Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) using PC DMIS software.
- Interpret internal and customer blue prints by applying GD&T principles.

Manage weekly CMM schedule
- Ability to align and secure holding fixtures and gauges.
- Ability to create CMM programs from supplied CAD files

Communicate CMM results and interpret data with internal engineering and quality staff on a daily basis.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot CMM equipment (Brown & Sharpe & Mitutoyo).

Communicates with staff regarding suspect measurement system methods and analysis.
- Prepares measurement system analysis reports as required.

Performs general administrative duties as required.

Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Functional Experience
-
3-5 years previous experience in an automotive quality assurance or customer environment.

Knowledge of quality systems, statistical process control and blueprints.
Industry Experience
-
Ideally, the successful candidate will bring a manufacturing background in a fast-paced environment, preferably in automotive.

Experience working in organizations where continuous improvement has been part of the company’s culture.

Experience working with Plex.

Previous tier one automotive experience is desirable.
