● Assist with prescribed medications according to established instructions.
● Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and kitchen cleanup.

The primary schedule is Saturday and Sunday, approximately 6 hours per day, with an additional evening turn of approximately one hour after 5:00 p.m.
The schedule may be adjusted around planned activities and special events. Additional weekday backup hours may also be available for someone interested and qualified.
Specific scheduling and availability will be discussed during the interview.
Training
On-the-job training is provided. Prior caregiving experience is helpful, but a willingness to learn and a positive, adaptable attitude are especially important.
Qualifications

● Able to work independently and follow instructions.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Comfortable assisting with personal care and activities of daily living.

● Reliable transportation to and from work.
● Preference may be given to applicants who live reasonably close to the Jackson, Tennessee area.
Compensation
Pay is provided through a VA-supported caregiver program and may vary based on qualifications, experience, and program requirements. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview.
Important
Dependability and punctuality are essential. The household relies on scheduled caregiver coverage, and the spouse works full-time, making reliable attendance especially important.
Applicants will be contacted for a pre-screening interview before an in-person interview.
