We have an immediate opening for a AI Security Solutions Advisor to support Pinnacle IT clients. This is an in-office position located in Arkansas. This role is open to Arkansas residents only.

The AI Security Solutions Advisor serves as Pinnacle IT’s subject matter expert for the secure and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence technologies. This role partners with clients to understand their business objectives and proposed AI use cases, evaluate the associated cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and operational risks, and develop a practical path forward for secure implementation.
The ideal candidate combines strong cybersecurity knowledge, Microsoft 365 expertise, consultative communication skills, and advanced hands-on technical ability. This individual will conduct AI readiness and risk assessments, present findings to client leadership, recommend licensing and technology solutions, develop implementation roadmaps, and design, implement, validate, and document the technical security, compliance, governance, licensing, and identity changes required for secure AI adoption.
This position requires both consultative expertise and solid technical implementation skills. The successful candidate must be capable of independently assessing client environments, designing secure AI solutions, and performing the technical configuration necessary to implement those solutions.
Primary Job Duties:
- Client Advisory & Consulting
o Conduct AI Readiness Assessments for organizations evaluating artificial intelligence technologies.
o Meet with executive leadership, department leaders, technical teams, and other stakeholders to understand business objectives and proposed AI use cases.
o Evaluate how AI tools will access, process, store, generate, and share organizational data.
o Identify cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, legal, operational, and business risks associated with proposed AI implementations.
o Translate technical risks into practical business recommendations for executive leadership.
o Present assessment findings, recommendations, implementation strategies, and project requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Develop secure AI adoption roadmaps tailored to each client’s environment, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
o Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the client’s AI journey.
- AI Security & Risk Assessment
o Evaluate enterprise AI platforms including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, ChatGPT Enterprise, and other emerging AI technologies.
o Assess identity, access, permissions, data security, governance, compliance, information protection, and regulatory implications.
o Evaluate the organization’s overall security posture to determine readiness for AI adoption.
o Perform AI risk assessments utilizing frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, HIPAA, CJIS, CMMC, and other applicable standards.
o Identify gaps involving identity, endpoint management, data classification, information protection, governance, monitoring, and access controls.
o Recommend appropriate security controls, governance policies, technical safeguards, and remediation strategies.
o Evaluate third-party AI applications, connectors, integrations, and agents for security and compliance risks.
o Design secure AI architectures aligned with client business goals and acceptable levels of risk.
o Recommend Microsoft licensing upgrades, Copilot licensing, security add-ons, and third-party technologies required to support secure AI adoption.
o Develop implementation plans that balance business value, cybersecurity, compliance, usability, and cost.
o Identify prerequisite security improvements necessary before AI deployment.
o Collaborate with internal engineering, networking, cloud, security, technical services, project management, sales, and account management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
o Assist in developing project scopes, statements of work, technical estimates, and implementation recommendations.
- Technical Ownership & Implementation
o Serve as the technical owner for AI security engagements from initial discovery through implementation, validation, documentation, and project completion.
o Perform the technical configuration required to securely enable AI technologies within client environments.
o Independently implement Microsoft 365 security, compliance, governance, licensing, identity, and AI-related configurations without reliance on other engineering teams except where specialized expertise is required.
o Configure and administer Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Sensitivity Labels, Information Protection, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, retention policies, audit capabilities, and related Microsoft security technologies.
o Implement governance controls supporting AI usage.
o Configure identity, access, data protection, compliance, application governance, monitoring, and security controls necessary to support approved AI use cases.
o Configure or coordinate the deployment of approved third-party technologies required to mitigate identified risks.
o Perform technical remediation activities identified during AI readiness assessments.
o Validate all configurations through testing and documentation.
o Troubleshoot AI-related security, governance, licensing, compliance, and Microsoft 365 issues.
o Produce complete implementation documentation, configuration standards, technical runbooks, and client handoff documentation.
o Remain accountable for the successful technical delivery of every engagement through project completion.
- Project Ownership & Client Success
o Own AI client engagements from initial consultation through successful implementation and post-deployment validation.
o Lead discovery conversations to understand business objectives, technical requirements, regulatory obligations, and desired outcomes.
o Develop project scopes, implementation plans, milestones, and technical recommendations.
o Coordinate project activities with internal teams and client stakeholders while maintaining ownership of the technical solution.
o Manage client expectations, communicate project status, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues throughout the engagement.
o Ensure all recommended security, governance, compliance, licensing, and technical remediations are fully implemented and verified before project completion.
o Perform post-implementation reviews and recommend ongoing improvements to strengthen client security posture.
o Identify opportunities to expand client security maturity and AI capabilities through additional strategic recommendations.
o Produce professional AI readiness assessments, executive summaries, implementation documentation, governance documentation, and security recommendations.
o Develop AI governance standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
o Deliver executive briefings, client workshops, and end-user training on responsible AI adoption.
o Educate internal teams on emerging AI technologies, Microsoft capabilities, cybersecurity risks, and governance considerations.
o Develop repeatable assessment templates, implementation methodologies, documentation standards, and service offerings.
o Stay current on rapidly evolving AI technologies, Microsoft capabilities, cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, licensing changes, and regulatory developments.
o Evaluate new AI solutions for business applicability, security implications, and technical feasibility.
o Monitor changes to Microsoft AI offerings and enterprise AI platforms.
o Contribute to Pinnacle IT’s AI advisory, implementation, and managed services offerings.
o Develop repeatable delivery methodologies and best practices for AI engagements.
o Support internal sales and account management teams during AI discovery conversations and solution design.
o Help shape Pinnacle IT’s AI advisory and security strategy.
Experience & Skills Required:
· Required
o Professional experience administering and securing Microsoft 365 environments.
o Strong understanding of Microsoft security technologies, identity management, information protection, governance, and cybersecurity best practices.
o Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft 365 administration.
o Ability to independently assess client environments and develop secure AI adoption strategies.
o Demonstrated experience implementing Microsoft security and compliance technologies.
o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Exceptional client-facing consulting and presentation abilities.
o Ability to explain complex technical concepts and cybersecurity risks to executive leadership.
o Experience documenting technical recommendations, implementation plans, and technical standards.

· Travel is required to all 6 locations across the state, supporting onboardings, on-site assessments, client meetings, audits, events, and project deployments. Travel is generally within the state and surrounding areas, based on business needs.
