Position Title: Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operations of our internal marketing team and for bringing cohesive strategy and direction to our content campaigns. This is a role for someone who thrives on connecting moving pieces, turning a group of strong individual contributors into a unified, high-performing team that ships cohesive, on-time work.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will manage a team (content editor, writers, videographer, marketing production specialist, and linkbuilding/outreach specialist) as well as various part-time external contractors. You will own workflow in ClickUp, set and enforce quality standards across every channel, and partner with the CMO to translate strategic direction into clear, executable plans that connect veterans to the legal help they have earned.

This is a remote position open to candidates based in the United States. The Marketing Manager will be required to travel to Orlando, FL a few times per year for in-person team meetings.

Nature and Scope:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for the cohesion, quality, and on-time delivery of the company’s marketing output. You work closely with the CMO on campaign direction and translate that direction into briefs and plans the team can execute. The team owns the production of writing, video, design, and outreach, and the company maintains its own analytics and reporting infrastructure; your role is to be the connective force that keeps these efforts aligned, prioritized, and built to perform. You share ownership of the results the team’s campaigns deliver.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Own and manage marketing team workflow in ClickUp, keeping projects prioritized, on track, and delivered on deadline
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing professionals across content, video, production, and outreach
Recruit, onboard, and train new employees and contractors, including managing Upwork contractors for project-based work
Run regular team check-ins, performance reviews, and one-on-ones
Partner with the CMO to plan and direct marketing campaigns aligned with case acquisition goals, and translate that strategic direction into clear, actionable briefs and plans for the team
Ensure cohesion across all marketing channels (content, video, email, website, social, and outreach) so campaigns reinforce one another rather than compete
Develop and manage content calendars and campaign timelines
Set and enforce quality standards across all marketing output, from spelling and grammar in emails to brand and color guidelines on the website and video assets
Maintain and evolve brand guidelines as the firm grows, and serve as the final quality checkpoint before campaigns go live
Interpret performance data from GA4, Google Search Console, and internal dashboards to evaluate campaigns and inform direction and prioritization (analytics and dashboards are built and maintained in-house)
Use AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude to improve team research, content production, and workflow efficiency

Requirements:

3-5 years of marketing experience, including demonstrated experience managing a team, coordinating contractors, or leading cross-functional campaigns end to end
Proven ability to take high-level strategic direction and turn it into briefs, plans, and prioritized work for a team
Strong project and people management skills, with a track record of keeping multiple projects on schedule (ClickUp preferred; Asana, Monday, or similar acceptable)
Demonstrated experience planning and executing cohesive, multi-channel content campaigns
Strong editorial judgment, writing, and editing skills, with the taste to serve as a final quality checkpoint
Experience managing successful social media and/or video campaigns
Comfortable interpreting analytics (GA4, Google Search Console, dashboards) to evaluate performance and guide decisions; deep hands-on configuration is not required
Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude in marketing or research workflows
Based in the United States with ability to travel to Orlando a few times per year
Experience in legal, healthcare, or other regulated industries (preferred)
Familiarity with SEO best practices and linkbuilding (preferred)
Experience managing contractors via Upwork or similar platforms (preferred)
Background working with veteran or military audiences (preferred)BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or an equivalent field

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 20 pounds occasionally.
