The CNC Technician is responsible for creation of programs for CNC equipment.

Investigates and recommends changes to shop floor production processes involving CNC equipment.
Follow engineering specifications.
Coach machine operators in the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
Serve as a liaison with maintenance, engineering, support staff and operators to ensure equipment is best utilized.
Document necessary information.
Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized.
Recommend/approve/make changes to improve efficiencies and equipment utilization.
Identify training opportunities within the team and set actions for improvement.
Able to use required CAD systems (AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, Solid Edge)
Ability to use manual wood working machinery (table/band saw, router, drills, sanders, etc)

Requirements:

Must have knowledge of computer aided design and manufacturing software
Must have superior computer programing skills
Must have ability to write and read complex drawings
Must have ability to read blueprints
Must be highly detail oriented
Ability to work in a fast paced environment (experience in a manufacturing environment is needed)
Must have good mathematical skills
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Must be detail oriented, and self motivated
