Position Summary
We are seeking a Bilingual Recruiting Coordinator to support hiring for our recycling operations. This position will recruit, advertise, source, screen, and coordinate candidates for hourly positions in production, equipment operations, transportation, maintenance, and other areas.
The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, organized, dependable, creative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day recruiting activities for assigned positions.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community organizations, workforce agencies, job fairs, and other recruiting channels.
- Create and post engaging bilingual job advertisements and recruiting materials.
- Review applications, conduct initial screenings and interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Maintain timely communication and follow-up with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate background checks, drug testing, employment verification, new-hire paperwork, orientation, and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity in the applicant tracking system.
- Attend job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach activities.
- Build relationships with workforce agencies, schools, community organizations, and other recruiting partners.
- Track recruiting activity and advertising effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Provide bilingual support to candidates and employees as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow company recruiting procedures and applicable employment requirements.
- Perform other HR and recruiting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; HR education or coursework is a plus.
- 1–2 years of recruiting, staffing, HR, advertising, customer service, or related experience preferred.
- Experience recruiting hourly employees and creating job advertisements preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Creative and resourceful approach to recruiting.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, email, social media, applicant tracking systems, and online recruiting platforms.
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working with diverse employees and candidates.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction with production and operations employees.
- May require walking through recycling, warehouse, or production areas while following company safety requirements.
- Occasional travel to job fairs, recruiting events, or other company locations may be required.
