Lab Tech Packaging Machine Operator Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant to work with our Lab Technician who can perform tasks related to packaging finished retail ready products as well assist the Lab Technician and Lab Director with various other tasks.

The ideal candidate is willing to learn all the aspects of this entry level position, while learning on the job other aspects of lab duties. In addition, this person will be proactive, innovative, and passionate in all that they do. They must be deadline conscious while maintain high-quality standards in packaging and finished product approval. This role is primarily focused on ensuring products are accurately packaged, labeled, and prepared for fulfillment while achieving necessary efficiencies. Additionally, this role will involve working with machinery, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining packaging equipment to support smooth operations.

This person will also perform administrative duties as needed, including data entry, data transmitting, email correspondence, analysis, document production, and order preparation.

Responsibilities:

Package product as directed and trained by the supervisor
Label packaging accurately according to guidelines
Fulfill orders efficiently and ensure timely completion
Maintain quality standards while packaging and labeling
Ensure the desired quantity of packaged material and fulfilled orders
Count and maintain inventory records of raw materials, packaged products, and fulfilled orders
Assist with operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure efficiency
Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues related to packaging operations
Support process improvements to enhance workflow and production efficiency

Requirements:

Experience in packaging or production required; experience with machinery a plus
Experience in GMP a plus
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be 21 years of age
Must be willing to consent to background check
Familiarity with warehouse procedures is a plus
Basic computer, mathematics, language, and reasoning skills required
Ability to operate scales and measurement tools accurately
Strong attention to detail with the ability to focus on tasks for extended periods
Must possess the physical aptitude and stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including standing or sitting for long periods
Comfortable with repetitive hand, wrist, and forearm movements
Excellent organizational and communication skills
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Must have own transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay commensurate with experience. Typical range is between $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

8-hour shift – 5 day work week
Overtime available as needed
