This role supports Weld County operations by managing outgoing County mail, delivering mail and print jobs to County buildings, and providing print, copy, and office support services. The position ensures reliable, accurate, and timely service delivery to internal departments across the County and is cross trained to support essential printing operations as needed.

Mail Services and Delivery - 80%
-
Perform daily delivery routes for all County departments in varying weather and road conditions.

Process outgoing mail, including posting, presorting, metering, and preparing mail for delivery to the U.S. Postal Service.

Maintain accurate monthly postage records and prepare reports for billing.

Enter data related to mail volume, postage use, and deliveries into the County system.

Communicate service delays, issues, or anticipated problems to the supervisor promptly.

Handel all materials in a compliance with County confidentiality and security policies.
Print and Production Support - 20%

Maintain accurate records for print jobs, materials issued or received, and work orders to support proper departmental billing.

Perform data entry for print shop workflows, tracking, and billing processes.

Schedule and prioritize print and copy requests, using good judgment to balance customer deadlines and operational workload.

Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on print equipment; coordinate with vendors for major repairs or service needs.

Participate in cross-training to support coverage in mail services and well as essential printing.

Assist team members during high-volume periods or to cover while others are out of the office.

Required Education
Experience Qualifications
-
1 year of experience in inventory control procedures, posting mail, and use of office machines, including copiers and customer service.
Skills and Abilities
-
Skill to perform manual labor requiring full range of body movements (bending, stooping, reaching, etc.) needed daily to perform the tasks of the position.

Ability to make mathematical computations for billing and inventory purposes.

Ability to perform data entry and to organize work according to customer priorities.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.

Ability to safely drive a county vehicle on a regular basis

Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license

Must maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with County policy.

Candidate must pass criminal background check prior to employment start date.
Licenses and Certifications

Driving is essential in this position.

Candidate must have a valid Driver’s License and Liability Insurance Upon Hire Required

Candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) evaluation and if hired, will be subject to continuous monthly MVR monitoring and random drug screens throughout employment. Required

This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing the screening in accordance with Weld County policy.
This position is non-exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore eligible for overtime pay.
