Full Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Digital Content Creator / Videographer and photographer based in the Greater Chicago Area (focusing on the Southwest Suburbs). In this role, your primary focus will be on-site shooting (capturing high-quality video and photo assets) for local commercial storefronts and restaurants. Please note: This is a shoot-only role. You will capture the raw footage, and our post-production team will handle the editing, motion graphics, and final delivery. This is a perfect paid opportunity for a talented student or hobbyist looking to gain commercial experience and work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

Travel to various local business locations (primarily around Oak Lawn, Bridgeview, Chicago Ridge, and surrounding suburbs) to capture content.

Plan and shoot high-quality, engaging short-form videos (Reels/TikToks) and professional photos for commercial clients.

Manage basic on-location setups, including camera/phone stabilization, lighting, and clear audio capture.

Direct and guide business owners or staff on camera to ensure natural and engaging footage.

Organize and upload raw video footage and raw photos efficiently to our shared cloud storage for our editing team.

Collaborate directly with the creative director to follow specific shot lists and visual guidelines.

Requirements:

Proven passion for videography, photography, and social media trends (TikTok/Reels format).

Ownership of reliable shooting equipment: A mirrorless/DSLR camera and a recent iPhone (15 Pro / 16 Pro) along with a gimbal/stabilizer.

Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to travel between client locations in the Southwest Suburbs.

Ability to follow direction, maintain high attention to detail, and meet shoot schedules.

Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude when interacting with business clients on-site.

Bonus: Basic knowledge of framing for social media formats (9:16 vertical video).

Pay: $25.60 - $30.83 per hour
