Mental Health Therapist – NHSC Loan Forgiveness Approved Site!

Families, Inc. Counseling Services is a private counseling agency accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), with outpatient facilities throughout Northeast, North Central, and Central Arkansas. Since our establishment in 2000, we’ve taken a unique approach to providing services in the client’s home, school, and outpatient clinics. We are proud to be an NHSC Loan Forgiveness approved site!

Families, Inc. offers a variety of therapeutic services for individuals, couples, families, and groups of all ages. We provide counseling to help clients work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, with the goal of empowering them to find new solutions to old problems. Our approach and the length of treatment are tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.

Job Summary

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering a range of mental health care services to assigned clients, including Intake Assessments, Treatment Planning, Individual/Family/Group Therapy, Psychoeducation, Crisis Intervention, and Crisis Stabilization. This role requires a commitment to high-quality client care and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct mental health services, including intake assessments, treatment planning, therapy sessions (individual, family, and group), and crisis interventions.
Deliver services at approved locations based on clinical needs.
Monitor caseload and manage documentation through the MHP Caseload Compliance Report (via Credible).
Complete treatment plans every 180 days and ensure all required documentation is submitted for insurance reimbursement.
Maintain daily progress notes and Safety/Incident Reports in compliance with policy.
Submit required reports to DCFS, legal agencies, and other involved parties.
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and privacy practices.
Attend monthly clinic meetings and participate in staffing with medical staff, maintaining a 90% compliance rate.
Provide supervision and observation for QBHP as per company policy.
Testify in court when required.
Maintain an active Arkansas license as a Clinical Social Worker, Master’s Social Worker, Professional Counselor, Associate Counselor, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or Marriage and Family Therapist.

Additional Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling from an accredited University or College.
Licensed as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Arkansas.

Skills

Required: Knowledge of confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines. Ability to effectively provide mental health services to clients and their families in an ethical and professional manner. Ability to travel as required.
Preferred: Proficiency in computer skills, strong organizational abilities, and excellent spelling and grammar.
