Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into precise, high-quality components through expert fabrication techniques. Your expertise in mechanical blueprint interpretation, welding, and metal fabrication will be essential in delivering exceptional products that meet industry standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced tools and techniques in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment dedicated to craftsmanship and innovation.

Duties

Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate metal components.
Operate various fabrication equipment including plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining tools to shape sheet metal and other materials.
Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and welding techniques according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
Measure and mark materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, shop math, and other hand tools to ensure accurate cuts and assemblies.
Use rigging, lifting equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and rigging gear to move heavy materials safely within the shop or construction sites.
Assemble fabricated parts following detailed schematics and blueprints while adhering to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards.
Conduct quality checks on finished products with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices; ensure compliance with safety regulations and fabrication specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained for optimal performance.

Skills

Extensive construction site experience combined with a solid background in metal fabrication and mechanical assembly.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW welding techniques; knowledge of welding preferred.
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings accurately.
Skilled in operating power tools such as plasma cutters, press brakes, machining equipment, grinders, and hand tools for precise fabrication tasks.
Strong understanding of shop math including measurements, conversions, and basic calculations necessary for fabrication projects.
Experience working with sheet metal fabrication including ductwork, pipe threading, and assembly of mechanical components.
Knowledge of ASME codes & standards as well as AWS welding certifications to ensure quality compliance.
Familiarity with rigging procedures for lifting heavy materials safely on construction sites or within the shop environment.
Mechanical knowledge related to pipe fitting, soldering, schematics interpretation, machining processes, and manufacturing practices.
Ability to read technical drawings accurately while applying mechanical blueprint interpretation skills during fabrication processes.
