Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations by preparing ingredients and menu items. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Responsibilities

Prepare and chop ingredients for cooking, including vegetables, meats, and other components as per menu specifications.
Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef.
Prepare dishes in large batches, portion into containers, label, and display for sale.
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, cleanliness, and organization in the kitchen.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
Support inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
Perform dishwashing as needed for cookware.

Dishwasher duties

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
Manage the dishwashing station and ensure proper cleanliness of all cookware.
Assist in food preparation as needed.

Skills

Training is provided.
Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations is useful.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent knife skills for efficient meal preparation.
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
