Duties and Accountabilities:

Maintain all Leads, their training systems and agendas

Coach thru line up and workshops

Follow sequence of service

Manage on the floor by monitoring Timing and Table Maintenance

Evaluate the Shopper Reports for training opportunities

Personnel Development

Use the 10 Commandments of Personnel Development

Screen all applicants

GM or KM conduct the final interview

Verify 2 References

Maintain the Employees’ files

Hold Orientation for every Employee

Use Certified Trainers

Administer a Final Test of duties

Hold 2 Week and Annual Evaluations

General Expectation
The Assistant Manager is to anticipate the needs of both the Staff and Guest. You are to be highly focused on the strategy and execution of the very highest level of Memorable Service execution. You will be depended upon to communicate the needs of the staff and physical plant in order to continue to achieve these expectations. You are to monitor this thru a constant presence on the floor always assessing Timing and Table Maintenance.

As the Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of BW Portage, ensuring that our guests receive outstanding service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will work closely with the General Manager and other team members to oversee departmental functions, manage staff, and enhance guest satisfaction.
Assist in the overall management of the hotel, overseeing daily operations to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.- Support the General Manager in developing and implementing strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Supervise and train staff across various departments, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to enhance skills and productivity.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution to enhance overall guest experience.
- Assist in managing budgets, forecasting, and inventory control to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special events, packages, and services to attract new guests.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of hotel facilities, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance staff.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to maintain knowledge of industry trends and operational best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest service.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
