JOB DESCRIPTION
Join our team of Direct Support Professionals where you will ensure the well-being of adult men with intellectual & developmental disabilities.
Our successful professionals enjoy helping others and taking care of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
You will provide care based on the abilities of each resident and assist the residents in developing skills to reach their personal maximum ability.
Duties:
· Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene tasks
· Provide emotional support and companionship
· Administer medications as prescribed
· Implement individualized care plans and support goals
· Assist with household tasks and meal preparation
· Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings
· Monitor and document individual progress and behaviors
Some weekends required. Overtime is not required but available. On-site Supervisor on duty 24 hours.
PAY
We offer a competitive rate of $21.88 to $23.38, depending upon shift, plus an additional weekend shift differential. Incentive pay for becoming authorized to pass medications. The pay is weekly.

POSITION HOURS:
Full-time Overnight Shift: Midnight to 8 am
Part-time Overnight Shift: Midnight to 8 am
Full-time Evening Shift: 4 pm to Midnight
Part-time Evening Shift: 4 pm to Midnight
Some weekend work is required.
Overtime is available but not required.

· 26.5 paid personal days per year (accrual starting after 90-day probationary period) for Full-time.
· 5.5 PTO days per year (accrual starting after 90-day probationary period) for part-time.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU WILL USE AND DEVELOP:
CNAs are encouraged to apply.
Recent grads encouraged to apply. Previous experience with the developmentally disabled population is a plus, but not a requirement. We provide the training and support you need to connect and make a difference with this amazing group of men!
You become registered as a Direct Support Professional with the Illinois Department of Public Health once you have successfully completed training. People in pursuit of a healthcare degree are encouraged to apply.
In addition to developing care giving skills as a healthcare professional, you will also enhance lifelong job skills in working as part of a team and developing your interpersonal and communication skills along with organizational and time management abilities.
REQUIREMENTS:
18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver's license and a clean driving record
