Job Description:

The Aerospace Assembly & MRO Technician I performs entry-level assembly, repair, inspection, and testing activities under the guidance of senior technicians. This position supports overhaul and manufacturing operations through component assembly, material handling, cleaning, inspection, documentation, and basic troubleshooting while developing technical skills and product knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Assemble, disassemble, clean, and prepare aerospace components and assemblies.

Perform crimping, staking, riveting, bolting, press fitting, and similar assembly operations.

Assist with testing activities and routine diagnostics under supervision.

Inspect parts using calibrated measuring equipment including calipers and micrometers.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and production documentation.

Report equipment issues, defects, and safety concerns to supervision.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Participate in company certifications and on-the-job training programs.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and department objectives.

Follow work instructions, technical procedures, and quality requirements

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Knowledge – Skills

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn aerospace assembly and overhaul processes.

Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment.

Ability to read and follow work instructions.

Strong attention to detail and safety.

Previous manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, or technical experience preferred but not required.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and reaching.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.

Ability to wear required PPE.
