Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mobile Optometrist to deliver comprehensive eye care services directly to patients in various community settings. This role offers the opportunity to provide personalized, high-quality eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and promote healthy vision in diverse populations. As a Mobile Optometrist, you will travel to different locations, ensuring accessible eye care for individuals of all ages, including pediatrics, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and visual conditions
- Prescribe corrective lenses and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Educate patients on eye health and preventative care
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and facility teams
- Travel to assigned patient care locations
- Provide compassionate, patient-focused care
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
- Active Texas Optometry license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
- Professional, dependable, and patient focused
Preferred Skills
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Practice Fusion is preferred; will train)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Adaptability in mobile or fast-paced healthcare settings
- Team-oriented mindset and excellent bedside manner
