Responsibilities
- Assist licensed clinicians by conducting psychological assessments and supporting clinical interviews to gather comprehensive patient information.
- Observe and monitor patients closely, documenting behavioral responses and changes to inform diagnosis and treatment strategies.
- Support crisis intervention efforts by recognizing signs of acute distress or behavioral escalation and implementing de-escalation techniques under supervision.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring all documentation complies with confidentiality standards and legal requirements.
- Support medication administration processes, including preparation, documentation, and patient monitoring as directed by medical staff.
- Participate in patient care activities within hospital or correctional facility settings, ensuring safety and behavioral management protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that address behavioral health needs effectively.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, in psychiatric or behavioral health settings, or within hospital environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of psychiatry, crisis intervention techniques, behavior management, and patient observation methods.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and patient monitoring procedures.
- Experience in acute care or corrections facility medical clinics is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to support clinical interviews and interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and clinically skilled Psychological Technician (Psych Tech) to support psychological assessment services and structured clinical interviewing under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing graduate training in psychology or related mental health fields who are looking to gain advanced clinical assessment experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer standardized psychological and neuropsychological assessments under supervision
- Conduct structured and semi-structured clinical interviews with clients
- Score, record, and organize assessment data accurately and efficiently
- Assist with behavioral observations during testing sessions
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and ethical guidelines
- Prepare assessment materials and maintain testing environment
- Collaborate with clinical psychologists on case conceptualization and feedback preparation
- Provide support in documentation and basic report preparation as directed
- Ensure culturally sensitive and developmentally appropriate assessment practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or related field required (Master’s preferred or in progress) (Preferred)
- Experience administering or supporting psychological assessments strongly preferred
- Familiarity with standardized testing tools and clinical interviewing techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under supervision
- Professional demeanor and strong ethical standards
Preferred Experience (not required):
- Prior work or practicum experience in a clinical or assessment setting
- Exposure to neuropsychological or psychoeducational testing
