Full Job Description

Summary

The primary role of the Senior Marketing Sales Consultant (SMSC) is to increase digital marketing services (DMS) revenues on behalf of the company by achieving or exceeding revenue objectives.

The primary focus is to develop new business sales through prospecting and relationship building. You will be working with SMBs to determine the right omnichannel marketing mix to create solutions that will satisfy customer needs and deliver a solid return on investment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a defined territory, including identifying new business.

The SMSC must be able to perform a comprehensive needs analysis and proposal development to offer strategic solutions of digital marketing options that will enable clients to meet their marketing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Consistently meet/exceed all revenue targets.
Develop and demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of the DMS product offerings and be able to effectively transfer knowledge to clients.
Engage and strategize with advertising clients to demonstrate value proposition and how we can assist them in meeting their marketing objectives through a variety of digital mediums.
Drive customer retention through responsiveness, delivering value, and excellent customer service.
Develop new business by understanding customer needs and selling products and services that provide value to the customer.

· Understand and supply clients’ online performance reports and dashboards to ensure that we meet and exceed performance goals as established at the launch of a campaign.

Collaborate with fellow sales representatives to support and grow DMS sales opportunities.
Follow Keene Sentinel prescribed best practices on sales pipeline management and gap analysis and complete all required sales process activities.
Regularly engage in-person with customers.
Effectively communicate with management to provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence.
Maintain the highest levels of personal and professional behavior in the workplace and in the market.

Position Requirements

Knowledges, Skills, Abilities:

Highly motivated, energized, self-starting individual with initiative and drive to succeed.
High level of digital marketing acumen including SEM, SEO, social media, digital display advertising using behavioral, geographic and retargeting, etc. technologies, reputation monitoring services, video, CTV/OTT, etc.
Knowledge of competitive media and local market landscape; use for new business development and sales analysis.
Ability to prospect new business via cold calling and other prospecting techniques including social media where applicable.
Understand and be able to articulate the value proposition of digital marketing services.
High energy, hunter mindset with ability to consistently close new business and exceed sales targets.
Successful track record of overcoming objections and achieving results.
Ability to work independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and deliver effective presentations.
Strong networking and community involvement skills.
Eagerness to learn, continually seeking to improve sales skills.
Strong time management and follow-up skills.
Organized with attention for detail.
Team player.
Computer and software experience with MS Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Education & Experience:

● Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred or equivalent work experience in media related business.

● Must have 2-years prior experience in digital marketing sales.

Compensation Outline:

Base salary
Monthly commission based on gross margin and goal achievement
Additional commission opportunities associated with collaborative sales with colleague reps
Additional periodic sales incentive programs
OTE: $65K – $80K
Hybrid work model
