Full Job Description

Cedar Creek Country Club is seeking an energetic, personable, and highly organized Front of House Supervisor & Event Coordinator to oversee daily front-of-house operations while planning and executing exceptional member events, private parties, weddings, tournaments, and corporate functions.

This leadership position combines hospitality management, event sales and coordination, and hands-on service leadership. The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys building relationships with members and guests, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and leads by example. This individual must be comfortable supervising staff, coordinating multiple events simultaneously, and stepping into any service role when needed.

Essential Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for private event clients from initial inquiry through final execution.
Conduct facility tours and assist prospective clients in planning weddings, banquets, corporate meetings, golf outings, and social events.
Prepare event proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), timelines, and invoices.
Coordinate menus, beverage packages, room layouts, décor, and service plans with the Executive Chef and management team.
Manage event budgets while maximizing revenue opportunities.
Ensure all events are executed professionally and exceed client expectations.
Conduct post-event follow-up to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Front of House Leadership

Supervise daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional member and guest service.
Lead by example through active participation in service during busy periods.
Assist with bartending, serving, food running, hosting, or expediting as business demands.
Monitor dining room appearance, cleanliness, and service standards.
Address member concerns promptly and professionally.
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment built on accountability and hospitality.

Staff Supervision

Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training front-of-house staff.
Prepare employee schedules based on business levels and event requirements.
Monitor labor costs while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
Coach employees on service standards, professionalism, and hospitality.
Assist with employee performance evaluations and corrective coaching when necessary.

Coordinate and execute member events including:

Wine dinners
Holiday celebrations
Live entertainment
Trivia and themed events
Golf tournaments
Member appreciation events
Community functions
Corporate meetings and retreats

Administrative Responsibilities

Maintain accurate event calendars and scheduling.
Track event profitability and labor costs.
Assist with inventory management and event supply ordering.
Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Club management software to maintain records and reports.
Ensure compliance with TABC regulations and Club policies.

QualificationsRequired

Minimum two years of hospitality experience in restaurant, banquet, hotel, or private club operations.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
Experience coordinating private events, weddings, banquets, or corporate functions.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to lift 25 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Preferred

Private club, country club, hotel, or upscale dining experience.
Bartending and serving experience.
Knowledge of banquet event orders (BEOs) and event planning software.
TABC Certification.
Food Handler Certification.
