Full Job Description

<Job Summary>
Join our innovative team as a Conversational CNC Milling Machine Programmer/Operator. In this role, you will program and operate Conversational CNC milling machines on the shop floor, making a wide variety of low quantity “prototype” pieces that are not considered high number production jobs. Your skills in CNC programming will be vital in translating drawings into quality machined parts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with updated equipment in a bright, clean, modern family owned, job shop where no two days are the same, that values innovation, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

<Duties>

Program, set up and operate CNC milling machines using conversational programming.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce quality components.
Operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently.
Work with other team members to meet job deadlines and quality expectations.

<Skills>

Proficiency in CNC conversational programming and operations.
Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling and set ups.
Knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation.
Ability to operate basic hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers accurately.
Experience working within a job shop environment with a focus on machining.
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with job shop experience that supports efficient problem-solving on the shop floor.
Ability to work safely around forklifts and other factory equipment.
