Full Job Description

Bonilla Law has an immediate position available! We are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to be a part of our growing firm! This will be a remote position with operational hours of 8am-5pm, 5 days a week. We prefer a Monday-Friday schedule but can be flexible in certain circumstances. Please be Central Florida-based and MUST be familiar with Florida Rules of Procedure.

Position requires working in a team-driven environment. Ideal candidate must have excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills. The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is required. The right candidate must be a self-starter! Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Clio, Outlook and family law software.

You are extremely organized.
You can anticipate what needs to happen next and you never miss an opportunity to follow-up on tasks.
You are a fast learner who adapts to new technology easily.
You have at least 5 years of legal experience
You are bilingual (English/Spanish). We have a fair amount of clients who speak only Spanish, so this is a REQUIREMENT to be considered.

Job Responsibilities

Drafting pleadings, motions, and pertinent documents associated with Family Law.
Interact with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel or parties, and judicial assistants
Experience with Client Billing and Time Entries.
Scheduling court hearings, depositions, mediations, conferences, and trial preparation.
Prepare discovery-related documents.
Preparing hearing and trial materials.
Attend virtual hearings with the attorneys.
Drafting child support guidelines and alimony support guidelines.
Knowledge/Monitoring of electronic filings with the court (State of Florida e-filing portal).
Prioritize and assign case tasks, monitor workload, and production to ensure completion of tasks assigned and deadlines.
Oversee status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems. Run reports as needed.
Work closely in a team environment and provide updates while building knowledge of Firm and client processes.

Compensation

Starting pay $30-35/hr.
90-day probation with benefits contingent on performance.
Quarterly bonuses also based on performance.
