Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager/Catering Manager to join our team. This dual role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage day-to-day operations while also overseeing and expanding our catering services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record in restaurant and catering management.

Key Responsibilities:

Assistant Manager Duties:

Operational Management: Assist the General Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Staff Supervision: Supervise, train, and motivate staff to maintain high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to prevent shortages and waste.
Financial Management: Assist in managing budgets, handling cash, and preparing financial reports.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.

Catering Manager Duties:

Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute catering events, from small gatherings to large functions, ensuring all client requirements are met.
Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and catering solutions.
Menu Development: Collaborate with the kitchen team to create and update catering menus that meet client preferences and budget constraints.
Marketing and Sales: Promote catering services, generate leads, and convert inquiries into sales to expand the catering business.
Logistics Management: Coordinate delivery and setup of catering orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of catering staff to deliver high-quality service at events.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in restaurant management and catering services.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in inventory management and financial reporting.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
A degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
