Full Job Description

Overview
The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations and developing machine, human, and information processes to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements are met. This position troubleshoots problems with manufacturing and support processes and defines, evaluates, and executes corrective action(s). The Process Engineer also researches the purchase of new, used, and spare parts for equipment or functional upgrades to existing equipment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for plastics injection molding, assembly lines, and industrial equipment.
Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to create detailed schematics, layouts, and process documentation.
Conduct root cause analysis on process issues, implement corrective actions, and lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and industrial engineers to develop tooling, fixtures, and fabrication techniques that improve productivity and quality.
Prepare project schedules for process upgrades or new product launches, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
Develop detailed process documentation including schematics and industrial equipment specifications.

Requirements

Proven experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably with factory experience in plastics injection molding or assembly lines.
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in welding, fabrication, tooling design, and industrial equipment maintenance.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and experience with schematic creation.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience implementing quality management systems in manufacturing settings.
Ability to perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving techniques; familiarity with Lean manufacturing methodologies is a plus.
Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong mechanical engineering background combined with industrial engineering principles; familiarity with quantum engineering or advanced automation technologies is advantageous.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering field and experience (5-10 years) in synthetic solution dyed fiber processing.
