Full Job Description

Founded in 1876, The Children's Home of Kingston provides a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for youth and families. We are currently seeking a Medicaid Billing Specialist to help continue our legacy of making a lasting impact in the lives of young people.

Position Summary

The Medicaid Billing Specialist will report to the Controller and is responsible for billing Medicaid for applicable services and for processing payments to various providers. The Medicaid Billing Specialist is also responsible for ensuring that all requests for payments and payments received are accurate.

The Children's Home of Kingston offers an outstanding benefit package which includes medical, vision, dental, life insurance, pet insurance, short-term disability, legal plan, 403(b), paid time off, and a collaborative, open-door work environment! Paid time off includes up to 4 weeks of vacation, 5 personal days, 10 holidays with 1 floating holiday and 10 sick days annually.

Qualifications

Minimum:

A minimum of two years experience in Medicaid administration or finance; experience in a non-profit child welfare Agency is desirable.
High School Diploma supplemented by in service training courses in software applications; an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration is desirable.
Working knowledge of Medicaid regulations and procedures governing payments to providers.
Working knowledge of Medicaid coding and compliance.
