Full Job Description

Location: Round Top, NY

Pay: $30/hour (4-hour minimum per guest turnover)

Schedule: Varying, based on guest bookings. Primarily weekdays with occasional weekends and holidays.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who will care for our 2 bedroom vacation rental cabin as if it were their own.

Beyond a clean property for each guest, we want to help create exceptional experiences. Because we manage the property remotely, we’re looking for someone who takes ownership, notices the little things, communicates proactively, and genuinely enjoys making a home feel warm, welcoming, and well cared for.

If you’re the type of person who notices a burnt-out lightbulb before anyone else, straightens pillows without thinking twice, fixes small problems before they become big ones, and takes pride in making things better every time you visit, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

Guest Changeovers

After each guest stay, you’ll:

Thoroughly clean the home from top to bottom
Wash, dry, fold, and remake all beds with fresh linens
Launder and restock towels
Sanitize kitchens and bathrooms
Dust, vacuum, mop, and wipe down all surfaces
Empty trash and recycling
Restock guest amenities and supplies
Organize each room so it feels welcoming and ready for the next guest
Stage the home consistently to our standards

Property Inspections

During every visit, you’ll also:

Check that all lights, appliances, remotes, Wi-Fi, locks, and other guest essentials are working properly
Look for stains, damage, wear and tear, or anything that needs attention
Photograph and communicate any issues promptly
Monitor inventory and let us know when supplies need replenishing
Help ensure every guest walks into a home that feels cared for and professionally maintained

Property Stewardship

Because we manage the property remotely, you’ll also serve as our eyes and ears.

This includes:

Completing small repairs and maintenance tasks when appropriate
Coordinating or meeting larger repair vendors when needed
Proactively identifying opportunities to improve the guest experience
Helping organize seasonal projects or home improvements
Keeping outdoor spaces neat and inviting
Making recommendations for repairs, replacements, or upgrades before they become guest issues

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

Vacation rental or Airbnb management
Residential cleaning or housekeeping
Hospitality
Property management
General home maintenance or handyman work

The right attitude, reliability, and passion for hospitality are more important than having specific relevant professional experience.

Compensation

$30 per hour
4-hour minimum per scheduled turnover
Monthly fixed minimum hours
Additional paid hours available for maintenance projects, seasonal work, inspections, and property improvements
Flexible scheduling around guest bookings
