RN Registered Nurse Staff Educator/Infection Control

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic RN Registered Nurse Staff Educator/Infection Control to join our team at Greene Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a leading senior care provider in Catskill, NY. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting a culture of excellence in infection control and staff education, ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our residents. Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective infection control protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff
Conduct staff education programs and provide training on infection control best practices, policies, and procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify and address infection control issues and concerns
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection control regulations and standards
Develop and maintain infection control policies and procedures manuals
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance infection control practices and patient outcomes
Stay current with latest research, guidelines, and regulations in infection control and staff education

Staff Educator/Infection Control Nurse Requirements:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New York
Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting
Strong knowledge of infection control principles, practices, and regulations
Excellent communication, education, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
