Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiovascular Sonographer is a highly skilled individual qualified by academic and clinical experience to produce and evaluate ultrasound images.

What qualifications you will need:

High School Graduate / GED
Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or (RDCS-AE) RDCS Adult Echocardiography, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician, or (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist
Associate degree or Bachelor degree from an accredited school fo Sonography
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience performing routine echocardiology exams (e.g., 2-D, M-Mode, Color Flow, Spectral Doppler). Transesophageal echo(TEE). 5 years of more experience preferred.

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is a purpose-guided healthcare provider. We are a four-story, 150,000-square-foot hospital. We have 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide a full range of acute care services including emergency services, inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, and inpatient and outpatient surgery. Other services include cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. Our Emergency Department (ED) is approximately 14,500 square feet. Our ED consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an EMS entrance, and a helicopter pad.
