WE ARE LOOKING FOR

➺We are currently seeking a Recreational Therapist to provide school-based recreational therapy services to students who may have physical, cognitive, behavioral, and social/emotional impairments that adversely affect their educational performance.

WHAT IT TAKES

➤ 1 year of experience (Required)

➤ Must have a bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field such as Recreation or Lesiure Studies with an emphasis in Recreational Therapy/Therapeutic Recreation. (Required)

➤ Must be a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) (Required)

YOUR DAY TO DAY

➤ Follow company policies and procedures as stated in the company handbook

➤ Comply with policies established by federal and state laws and school district guidelines and regulations

➤ Provide recreational therapy services to students with IEPs

➤ Help students develop and enhance necessary skills for successful participation in the school setting through purposeful recreation and leisure interventions.

➤ Maintain thorough confidential student records to document attendance, participation, and progress towards IEP goals.

➤ Document delivery of services on specified data base (Welligent, SEIS, etc.) on a daily/weekly basis.

➤ Maintain 100% compliance on service delivery.

➤ Submit weekly/monthly compliance reports to Supervisor or Compliance Manager

➤ Travel to various sites within a 50-mile radius if necessary for this position

➤ Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible

➤ Other duties as requested appropriate for Recreational Therapist
