Full Job Description

Senior Stamping Process Engineer
Our global manufacturing client is seeking a Senior Stamping Process Engineer for their team. This direct-hire role offers a collaborative environment and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities of the Senior Stamping Process Engineer

Develop, implement, maintain, and improve process capabilities using appropriate tools and methodologies
Design stamping dies and other tooling for process improvements
Input and analyze numerical data to identify patterns and relationships for optimal workflow and process development
Review KPI monitoring systems and leverage technology to achieve goals
Support new product introductions
Communicate with stamping contractors and vendors regarding product specifications and requirements
Ensure regulatory compliance
Drive and champion a continuous improvement culture within the team

Qualifications of the Senior Stamping Process Engineer

BSME or equivalent
5+ years of stamping process and die design, or equivalent experience
Experience in steel stamping process, die design, other tooling for process improvements (compound, progressive, and transfer technologies)
Aluminum and copper stamping experience preferred
Strong conceptualization skills for mechanical components and understanding of component strength requirements
Proficiency in CAD and/or UG for reading, creating, and editing drawings (manual and/or CAD), with knowledge of GD&T (ASME 14.5 – 1982)
Knowledge of Lean System tools and methodologies; Six Sigma Green Belt or Red-X Apprentice preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities
Ability to drive and support innovative ideas and implement solutions
