Full Job Description

CNC Lathe Machinist / Programmer

Location: Englewood, CO
Job Type: Full-Time

Join Our Growing Precision Manufacturing Team

We're looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist who enjoys making high-quality parts, solving machining challenges, and taking ownership of their work.

This is not a production operator position. You'll be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Haas CNC lathes to manufacture precision components in a clean, modern shop. We primarily produce low-volume, high-quality parts where attention to detail matters more than simply keeping the machine running.

As a member of our small team, you'll have the opportunity to help improve processes, recommend tooling, and contribute directly to the success of the company.

What You'll Do

Program CNC turning operations using Fusion 360 CAM
Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes
Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
Select tooling and workholding for new jobs
Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks
Hold tight dimensional tolerances while maintaining efficiency
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment
Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize machining strategies
Collaborate with engineering on manufacturability and process improvements
Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop

What We're Looking For

Required

3+ years of CNC lathe machining experience
Experience programming with Fusion 360 or comparable CAM software
Experience setting up Haas CNC lathes
Ability to read mechanical drawings
Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling, and workholding
Experience using micrometers, indicators, bore gauges, calipers, and other inspection equipment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred

Experience machining stainless steel, aluminum, and alloy steels
Familiarity with GD&T
Experience with live tooling
CAD experience in Fusion 360
Process improvement mindset
Strong problem-solving skills
