Duties and Responsibilities:
Work Habits: 20%
- Operational Efficiency: Design and implement systems to ensure the CNA program's smooth functioning, from recruitment and enrollment through to graduation and certification.
- Administrative Management: Oversee the completion of administrative duties including timesheets, leave requests, and other program documentation. Ensure proper record-keeping for compliance with all institutional and regulatory standards; as well as manage external funding that supports internships, special projects, or salary supplement models.
- Data Tracking and Reporting: Utilize software tools (e.g., Salesforce) to track student enrollment, performance, and progression through the program. Ensure accurate and up-to-date data is available for reporting and analysis.
- Program Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of the CNA program's curriculum, instruction, and clinical placements to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with industry standards and local workforce needs.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all program activities comply with the Louisiana Department of Health's accreditation standards, healthcare facility regulations, and state/federal requirements for CNA programs in the state of Louisiana.

- Communication: Exhibit clear, professional, and consistent communication with students, faculty,feel supported throughout their involvement in the program.
- Professionalism: Model a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior in all program related activities. Maintain a positive and respectful tone in all interactions.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts or complaints from students, faculty, or clinical partners promptly, using a fair and empathetic approach.
- Student-Centered Focus: Foster an environment that is supportive and responsive to the diverse needs of CNA students. Provide guidance on academic, financial, and clinical matters as necessary.
- Adaptability: Stay flexible and open to change as the needs of the healthcare industry and educational environment evolve. Adjust the program as needed to remain relevant and effective.
Institutional Support: 20%
- Collaborative Planning: Work with the EWD & CE leadership to align the CNA program with the broader goals and strategic plans of the institution.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including Nursing and Continuing Education, to create clear academic and career pathways for students transitioning from CNA to higher-level healthcare programs.
- Resource Management: Ensure the CNA program has the necessary resources (faculty, materials, clinical sites) to function effectively through consortium management, grant management or business development that leads to supportive partnerships for the program and the student experience and outcomes.
- Accreditation and Reporting: Serve as the primary contact for accreditation bodies, ensuring the CNA program meets all accreditation standards and submits required reports on time.
- Industry Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with local healthcare employers and clinical partners to ensure that clinical training meets current industry standards and provides students with valuable hands-on experience.
Team Relations: 20%
- Faculty Support: Supervise and mentor CNA program faculty, providing opportunities for professional development and ensuring that instructors are supported in their roles.
• Collaboration with Staff: Foster a team-oriented environment, ensuring staff are empowered to contribute to the program's success. • Promote open communication, cooperation, and shared responsibility among faculty and staff.
- Faculty Development: Identify opportunities for faculty training, focusing on improving teaching techniques, curriculum delivery, and clinical supervision.
- Feedback and Evaluation: Regularly evaluate faculty and staff performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure continuous improvement in the program's delivery and outcomes.
- Student-Faculty Interaction: Promote positive student-faculty interactions that encourage engagement and enhance learning outcomes.
Leadership: 20%
- Program Leadership: Provide clear, decisive leadership for the CNA program, ensuring that program goals are met and that the program maintains high standards of excellence.
- Strategic Goal Setting: Work with institutional leadership to establish both short- and long-term goals for the CNA program, aligning these goals with the needs of the local healthcare community and workforce.
- Staff Supervision and Development: Manage the recruitment, selection, evaluation, and professional development of CNA program faculty and staff. Foster a supportive work environment focused on student success.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations of the CNA program, including scheduling, curriculum updates, clinical placements, and faculty assignments.
- Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess program effectiveness, faculty performance, and student success. Make data-driven recommendations for improvements in staffing, curriculum, or operational procedures.
- Conflict Management: Lead by example in resolving issues, maintaining an open-door policy, and ensuring conflicts are resolved in a professional, fair, and timely manner.
- Leadership by Example: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to the success of students and the program, setting the standard for faculty and staff to follow.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree in education, business administration, workforce development, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in education, any medical field, customer relations or service, or workforce development.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team to achieve program goals.
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and financials to support program growth and sustainability.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting tools to track program performance, student success, and financial health.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to develop partnerships and engage external stakeholders.
- Ability to understand student recruitment, retention strategies, and workforce development trends.
- Experience working in or with medical office, customer relations/service, or clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, business administration, or public administration.
- 3 years of experience working within education programs, any medical industry or setting, customer relations or learning management systems or noncredit programs.
- Familiarity with healthcare professionals and the healthcare working environments.
