Would YOU enjoy a career as a therapist (QSAP I-Qualified Substance Abuse Professional) serving our Adolescent Outpatient and Transitions programs in Chambers County, AL? The therapist (QSAP I) delivers substance abuse/co-occurring and early intervention treatment services to assigned clients at the designated school location, client’s home, other appropriate community settings, or office.
The Bridge offers excellent training, a great support system, and benefits, including mileage reimbursement and a cell phone stipend. We also offer supplemental pay for substance abuse certification and for licensed ALC, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LICSW, and LBSW as noted in the pay range.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a clinical area (i.e., psychology, social work, counseling, marriage, and family) OR other behavioral health areas with requisite coursework equivalent to that of a degree in above
- Must have a practicum/internship from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education OR have six (6) months post master’s clinical experience
- Must have a current driver's license, acceptable driver records, and access to reliable transportation to meet with clients
- Must possess basic computer skills such as using e-mails for effective communication, writing, and editing in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, searching for information with Google
- Master’s degree in a clinical area (i.e., psychology, social work, counseling, marriage, and family) OR other behavioral health areas with requisite coursework equivalent to that of a degree in above from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education
- Must have a practicum/internship OR have six (6) months post master's clinical experience
- Must be SA certified according to The Bridge policy within 24 months from date of hire OR licensed as a professional counselor (LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or LICSW)
- Secure CPR and First Aid certification within thirty (30) days of the date of hire and maintain
- Obtain the case management certification through the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) before completion of the probationary period, and before billing case management services
Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Conduct diagnostic interview examination
- Develop and implement service planning
- Provide clinical services in individual, group, and family therapy
- Perform thorough psychosocial and placement
- Provide case management services
- Ensure the content of client files is in full compliance and corresponds with billing records
- Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record
