Job Summary

Join our team as a Prep Cook, where your enthusiasm for food preparation and kitchen excellence will shine! In this vital role, you will support the culinary operation by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless flow in the kitchen, enabling us to deliver delicious, high-quality meals consistently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment committed to excellence.

Duties

Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, chopping, and measuring according to recipes and standards
Follow food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in all food prep areas
Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies and ensuring proper storage of ingredients
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and slicing tools, adhering to safety standards in production
Assist with basic cooking tasks under supervision to help prepare menu items efficiently
Maintain inventory levels of prep ingredients and notify supervisors of shortages or spoilage
Assist in checking in deliveries and storing in proper locations to ensure food safety

Requirements

Prior experience in food service environments preferred
Knowledge of menu planning and food preparation techniques
Strong knife skills and slicing techniques for efficient ingredient handling
Understanding of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
Experience in restaurant or catering settings is highly desirable
Ability to follow safety standards during food production and kitchen operations
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and food presentation
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed in a fast-paced setting

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
