Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient service by assisting with check-in, intake procedures, and vital signs measurement to ensure accurate records and smooth patient flow
- Support chiropractors with clinical tasks such as X-ray assistance, anatomy and physiology knowledge application, and basic life support procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), including documentation, ICD coding, and medication administration records to maintain compliance and accuracy
- Oversee daily office operations including appointment scheduling, billing, insurance verification, and inventory management to optimize clinic efficiency
- Facilitate communication between patients and providers by answering inquiries, coordinating follow-up appointments, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits
- Assist with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic radiology under supervision to support comprehensive patient care
- Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment while adhering to safety protocols related to hospital medicine, urgent care standards, and emergency medicine practices
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical administrative support or clinic management within outpatient or hospital settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, and EMR/EHR systems is essential for effective documentation and patient care
- Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, phlebotomy, vital signs collection, intake processes, and emergency response techniques such as basic life support (BLS)
- Familiarity with hospital medicine environments including inpatient experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced medical office setting
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration in diverse healthcare environments such as geriatrics, internal medicine, or medical-surgical units
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) preferred; prior hospital or emergency medicine experience is a plus
