This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at the California Science Center (CSC), a world-class science museum that develops and features award-winning exhibits and internationally renowned education programs. The Science Center's workforce includes executive, managerial, supervisory, and administrative classifications, however, rank and file facility maintenance and skilled trades represent approximately fifty-one percent (51%) of its civil service workforce. We're seeking an Analyst I to join our team. The CSC seeks an Inventory and Systems Analyst to support the Education Support Operations Unit. This position is located in Los Angeles, South of Downtown Los Angeles within Exposition Park. Work schedule will be during regular business hours from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Parking is available at no cost to the employee.

Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst I performs a variety of analytical and program support duties for the Operations Department. Under the working title Inventory and Systems Analyst, the incumbent coordinates and supports operational activities related to procurement, inventory control, systems coordination and reporting functions across multiple departments. Duties and responsibilities require research, analysis, and the use of judgement within established procedures and guidelines to apply state laws, regulations, policies, and departmental procedures, in support of operational and program activities.

Desirable Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

· Experience supporting procurement and contract development or administration, including scopes of work, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

· Proficiency in procurement systems, Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, and Fi$Cal.

· Exceptional time management, organization, and ability to meet multiple competing deadlines.

· Demonstrated experience reviewing invoices, contract management, cost reconciliation, or other procurement related work.

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.

· Able to demonstrate identifying operational issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementation of process improvements.

· Demonstrated experience analyzing complex issues related to various systems, data reports, inventory control, spreadsheets, or contracts and contract deliverables; conducting research to develop and propose solutions and presenting findings to leadership or peers.

· Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
