Job title: Supply Chain Data Technician
Position Compensation: $18.25/hr
Employment terms: Full Time – Non-Exempt
AM - 5 x 8 Monday - Fridays
Role & Responsibilities:
- The Supply Chain Data Technician is responsible for supporting the intake, inspection, verification, and distribution of cannabis and non-cannabis supplies needed to ensure continuous production. In addition to their primary responsibilities, the Warehouse Technician I is expected to ensure that GMP and all regulatory requirements are followed within the intake/shipping & receiving areas.
- Will have special focus on entering data into various systems utilized.
Primary Duties (including, but not limited to):
- The main role will be data entry into various systems utilized.
- Verification and confirmation of correct entry.
- Items that are out of a given variance need to be verified with other department personnel to ensure multi-point accuracy of data reflected.
- Coordinating with the Warehouse Supervisor to complete inspections and verification of all deliveries to the facility on a daily basis.
- For cannabis supplies being received, this includes manifest verifications completed within 24 hrs to maintain compliance with DCC regulations and quality inspections with associated documentation to determine if the material is accepted/rejected. Cannabis supply formats currently being received currently includes, but is not limited to: fresh frozen cannabis (whole plant and/or trim), dry, cured cannabis (whole plant and/or trim), distillate.
- For non-cannabis supplies being received, this includes packing slip verifications and quality inspections to determine if the supplies are accepted/rejected. Non-cannabis supplies being received currently includes, but is not limited to: butane, liquid nitrogen, vape cartridges and mouthpieces, concentrates containers and lids, filtration media, PPE, trash bags, paper towels,
- Post verification, organizing the deliveries within the appropriate storage locations for each department.
- Distributing supplies internally to the relevant departments.
- Organizing and maintaining internal storage spaces to the set standards.
- Monitoring par levels of critical general supplies - trash bags, PPE, paper towels, etc. Reporting any inventory items that are below the par level to the Supply Chain Manager for reordering
- Working with the department managers to establish and monitor par levels for critical production supplies - solvents, filtration media, consumables, etc. Reporting any inventory items that are below the par level to the Supply Chain Manager for reordering
- Work well and effectively with fellow co-workers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision received: Warehouse Technician II + Supply Chain Manager
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications for education, training, and prior experience:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to pass a background screening for employment within the CA cannabis industry after the company makes a conditional job offer.
Preferred skills & knowledge:
- 3-6+ months working within a shipping/receiving role, with a clear understanding of how an intake process and facility should operate.
- Ability to maintain internal inventory records.
- Computer skills including cloud-based programs such as google sheets, docs, asana, etc.
- High attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires single lifting ability of ≤50 lbs.
- Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands.
- Frequently crouching, stooping, bending, and reaching.
- Must work near cold surfaces and wear appropriate PPE.
- Must work in noisy & cold conditions with excess humidity.
- Stand for short/ high periods of time.
- Sit for short/ medium periods of time.
- Walk for short/high periods of time.
- Occasionally sit on the floor or at floor level.
- Handle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with this position.
Attendance & general performance expectations:
- 40 hrs. per week minimum, additional hrs. as needed by the production schedule.
