Full Job Description

Position: Front Desk Agent (Primarily Afternoon/Evening Shift)

Position Summary

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while efficiently handling front desk operations. This position serves as the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, professional, and positive experience throughout their stay.

We are currently seeking a team member who is available to work primarily second shift (afternoon/evening), with occasional first shift (morning) and overnight audit shifts as needed to support business demands. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
Process reservations, cancellations, and room changes.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
Respond promptly to guest questions, requests, and concerns.
Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions while maintaining accurate records.
Balance cash drawer and complete required shift reports.
Maintain guest confidentiality and follow hotel security procedures.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are guest-ready.
Monitor room availability and communicate any issues to management.
Promote hotel amenities, loyalty programs, and local attractions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
Follow all brand standards, hotel policies, and safety procedures.
Assist with breakfast, laundry, or light housekeeping duties when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous hotel or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn hotel management software.
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Frequent use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment.

Schedule

Weekend and holiday availability is required.
