Full Job Description

We are looking for an individual to join our training team to assist in kennel and client facing reception duties, ideally growing into a full admin and/or training position with the company. This person will work closely with our Training and Management teams. Our company trains dogs with all types of behavioral issues and basic obedience. Basic office tasks like phone calls, emails, and interacting with clients will be required. Our company functions as a team. Communication and time management skills are essential.

Please note, this position requires a minimum 6 months of past experience working with dogs, however, 1 year or more experience is preferred!

*Must be able to lift 30 lbs*

Summary

As a Kennel Technician, you will be instrumental in enhancing the well-being of dogs under our care. Reporting to both the Head Trainer and General Manager, your core skills in animal handling and pet care will be essential in providing a safe and nurturing environment. This is an entry-level position with room for fast growth into a career position with an established facility.

Strong communication and time management abilities will be vital as you work alongside the team and interact with pet owners while managing time needed for proper kennel care. Join our team to make a positive impact on the lives of dogs and their families!

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe environment for dogs in the kennel space with attention to detail.
Ensure the well-being of dogs through effective handling, care, and cleaning practices.
Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets.
Client drop-off and pick up.
Utilizing POS system for client payments.
General office tasks such as returning phone calls, data entry, and emailing clients.
Manage time efficiently to balance kennel duties and administrative tasks.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.0 – 40.0 per week
