Position Overview

The Universal Banker serves as a key point of contact for customers by delivering exceptional service, processing transactions, opening accounts, and identifying financial solutions to meet customer needs. This role combines teller responsibilities with new account and relationship-building duties.

Provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
Open and service consumer and business deposit accounts, IRAs, and related products.
Assist customers with online banking, mobile banking, debit cards, and other banking services.
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate bank products and services.
Resolve customer inquiries and provide prompt, professional support.
Process account maintenance requests, wire transfers, check orders, and debit card services.
Balance cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
Complete required BSA/AML compliance documentation, including CTRs, and maintain knowledge of SAR reporting requirements.
Complete required compliance documentation and adhere to all bank policies and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

High School Graduate/GED
1 year or more of banking experience preferred
Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and correct errors.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to stand for extended periods, move throughout the branch, perform repetitive hand movements, communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
