Overview
SanaView Farms is an award-winning winery, cafe, and wedding venue set on a stunning 52-acre historic organic farm in Pennsylvania's breathtaking Laurel Highlands. Our tasting room and cafe welcome guests every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and our wedding venue sits just steps away, hosting celebrations that couples describe as the best weekend of their lives. We are the winner of Wedding Wire's 2024 and 2025 Couple's Choice Awards along with Best of Weddings recognition, and our growth has not slowed down since.
We are now hiring several new team members across every part of our operation, and we are looking for a genuinely wide range of skills and interests. Some of our best people arrived knowing how to cook and learned how to bartend. Others came to help set up events and now help run our event floor. If you are the kind of person who would rather learn four jobs than repeat the same one, you are going to love it here.
What You Will Do
Depending on the weekend, the work may include any of the following depending on skillsets, interest, and the needs of the business.
Winery and Cafe
- Be the warm and welcoming face of our winery, greeting guests and guiding them through the experience
- Pour wine, serve guests at the bar, and guide people through our tasting menu with warmth and confidence
- Craft excellent cocktails and mixed drinks
- Learn our wines from the ground up, including how they are made, what makes them different, and how to describe them to a curious guest
- Run the register, keep the bar stocked and clean, and help set the tone for a busy weekend
Cafe Kitchen
- Support our pizza and charcuterie stations by helping our team prep, cook, plate, and clean during cafe hours and events
- Keep the kitchen organized, stocked, and held to the standards our guests have come to expect
- Line experience is welcome here, and a strong willingness to learn matters just as much
Weddings and Private Events
- Bartend wedding receptions and private events, taking wonderful care of guests throughout the celebration
- Serve plated meals, passed appetizers, or buffet service depending on the event
- Bus tables, refresh drinks, and keep every space clean and organized while the party is happening
- Read the room and anticipate what guests need before they have to ask for it
Event Setup and Breakdown
- Set tables and chairs, place linens and decor, and build and stock the bar before guests arrive
- Follow the event timeline and coordinate with the team so that every detail lands on schedule
- Break down equipment, clean the spaces, and reset the venue at the end of the night
- Adapt quickly when plans change, because at events they always do
What We Are Looking For
- A positive and energetic attitude that matches our team culture and elevates every guest interaction
- Genuine reliability, which simply means that when you commit to a shift or an event, you show up ready to work
- Weekend availability, since our winery operates Friday through Sunday and most weddings fall on Saturdays
- The ability to stay calm and composed when a wedding and a busy tasting room are happening at the same time
- Real pride in the small details that make an event feel effortless to the people attending it
- A team player mentality and a willingness to jump in wherever you are needed without being asked
- Physical capability for an active role that includes setup, breakdown, standing for long stretches, and lifting up to fifty pounds
- Reliable transportation to our farm in Champion, Pennsylvania
- At least sixteen years of age and able to pass a background check
- RAMP certification if you will be serving alcohol, and we are happy to help you obtain it online before your first shift if you do not have it yet.
Experience That Helps but Is Not Required
- Catering, banquet, or event service background
- Bartending experience
- Restaurant, kitchen, or hospitality experience
- Wedding venue or private event experience
We would much rather train the right person than hire the right resume. If you bring energy, dependability, and a real desire to learn, we will teach you everything else.
Why You Will Love Working Here
- You will never have two days that look exactly alike
- You will be cross-trained across the bar, the kitchen, and our event operation, and we will teach you as many parts of this business as you want to learn
- You will work a weekend-focused schedule that fits beautifully alongside school, a weekday job, or family commitments, and you will know your schedule in advance so you can plan your life
- You will spend your days in a stunning natural setting on a historic organic farm with the Laurel Mountains as your backdrop
- You will receive ongoing wine education, including staff tastings and training on how our wines are actually made
- You will enjoy an employee discount on wine and food, along with meals during events
- You will have real room to grow as we continue to expand our winery, our cafe, and our event business, and we love to promote from within
- You will work alongside owners who are on-site, invested, and committed to your success
Compensation
Our starting pay ranges from $12.00 to $18.00 per hour based on experience, and every position shares in tips. Tasting room shifts earn tips throughout the day, and weddings and private events include gratuity that can be substantial. We value team members who grow with us and take ownership of our shared success, and we are prepared to invest accordingly in the right people.
Ready to Join Our Team?
We are looking for people who understand that a wedding day and a Saturday afternoon on the patio both deserve the very best we have. You do not need a polished resume to get our attention, and you do not need years of experience to be exactly who we are looking for.
