Job Title: Front Office Staff

Supervises: NA

Labor Standards Status: Hourly/Non Exempt

Position Summary:

The Front Office Staff is responsible for coordinating patient registration, verifying insurance coverage, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate and assisting in timely billing for imaging services. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in maintaining a smooth front-office workflow and excellent patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Office Duties:

Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
Check patients in and out for imaging appointments.
Verify patient demographics, insurance, and referral information at the time of service.
Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring correct exam coding and preparation instructions are communicated.
Answer phones and respond to inquiries regarding services, pricing, and insurance.

Billing & Insurance Responsibilities:

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals for imaging procedures as needed.
Collect copayments, coinsurance, and self-pay balances at the time of service.
Assist with claim submissions, payment posting, and follow-up on denied or unpaid claims.
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Administrative Support:

Coordinate communication between patients, technologists, radiologists, and billing staff.
Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
Support front office operations, including filing, scanning, and data entry.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
