Job description

Short Description:

The Junior CAD Draftsman supports the engineering team by creating and revising accurate 2D drawings and basic 3D models in accordance with established drafting standards. This role ensures that engineering concepts are translated into precise technical documentation suitable for manufacturing and production.

General Tasks:

Create and revise detailed 2D drawings and basic 3D models using approved CAD software.
Apply ASME Y14 drafting standards to all technical documentation.
Incorporate engineer and senior designer feedback, redlines, and engineering change notices into drawings.
Maintain and update drawing databases and design documentation in accordance with document control procedures.
Scan and digitize legacy drawings and integrate them into the document control system.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper revision control of all drawings.
Participate in design review meetings as required

Job experience / Knowledge:

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar tools.
Familiarity with ASME Y14 drafting standards.
Basic understanding of engineering principles.
Ability to interpret sketches, notes, and technical instructions.
0–2 years of drafting experience

Personal qualification profile:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
