We're looking for an experienced part-time Mobile Dog Bather / Groom Tech who is confident working independently in a mobile grooming environment. This role is ideal for someone with professional bathing experience who enjoys working one-on-one with pets, takes pride in delivering exceptional service, and is interested in growing their grooming skills.
Responsibilities
- Bathe, brush, comb, de-shed, de-mat, dry, and prepare pets for grooming
- Trim paw pads, clip and file nails, clean ears, and apply finishing products
- Express external anal glands upon client request (internal expression is not permitted)
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments while minimizing stress and anxiety
- Assess each pet's coat and condition and communicate recommendations to clients
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for pets and their owners
- Document services and maintain pet records using the Woofie's mobile app
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized grooming van, equipment, and supplies
- Monitor product inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Communicate client concerns, pet behavior, or health observations to the office
- Participate in community events and represent Woofie's professionally
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional dog bathing or groom tech experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile grooming van
- Excellent pet handling skills and confidence working with dogs of various breeds and temperaments
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, organized, and dependable
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Passion for animal care and attention to detail
