Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Med Tech/CNA, where your compassionate care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. This vital role combines hands-on patient assistance with medical support, ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. You will be an essential part of a team committed to promoting health, dignity, and well-being for individuals with diverse needs, including those with dementia, or developmental disabilities. Duties

Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Administer medications and treatments following physician orders while adhering to HIPAA regulations and state healthcare guidelines.
Support residents with specialized needs such as catheter care, or memory care activities tailored to individual care plans.
Document medical information precisely using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems; ensure all records are complete and compliant with medical documentation standards.
Assist with patient transfers and heavy lifting using proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety for both residents and staff.
Respond promptly to emergencies by providing CPR or first aid when necessary; maintain readiness through ongoing training in basic life support (BLS).
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans that address physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and specific health conditions like dementia or hospice needs.

Skills

Proven experience working with geriatric patients across assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and basic physiology concepts.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems; capable of accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing heavy lifting requirements when assisting residents.
Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassion for individuals with disabilities or memory impairments.
Knowledge of regulations and healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA and state-specific healthcare laws.
Skilled in vital signs measurement, catheter care, and other specialized caregiving techniques.
Effective communication skills for working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams focused on patient-centered care.
